Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) acts as an additional layer of security for your account. With 2FA, your account protection is elevated beyond the traditional password, requiring an authentication code from a dedicated mobile app to verify your identity.
How Does 2FA Function?
Upon activating 2FA, logging into your account undergoes a change. Following the input of your registered email and password, you're greeted with a prompt requesting an authentication code. This unique code is generated by a specific authentication app installed on your smartphone.
Activating or Deactivating Two-Factor Authentication
To enable 2FA, sign in to your account, and head over to the 'Account' tab in the top right corner of your dashboard. This will bring you to your 'Account Settings' page. From here, scroll down to the 'User Profile' section, and under 'Security Settings', switch the '2-Factor Authentication' toggle to on. From here you'll be redirect to the 'Setup 2FA' page, just follow the provided guidance on this page to finish the process.
To disable 2FA, switch the '2-Factor Authentication' toggle to off, as described above.
Enforce 2FA for All Users
If you're an admin for your account, you can enforce 2FA for all user linked to this account. By turning this feature on, any user attempting to log into the account will be obligated to have 2FA activated. If a user doesn’t have 2FA set up, they will be prompted to do so before gaining access to the account. This universal enforcement fortifies the account's security manifold, assuring you a safer environment.
To enable, sign in to your account, and head over to the 'Account' tab in the top right corner of your dashboard. This will bring you to your 'Account Settings' page. From here, scroll down to the 'User Profile' section, and under 'Security Settings', switch the 'Enforce 2FA for All Users' toggle to on.
To disable, switch the 'Enforce 2FA for All Users' toggle to off, as described above.
